Production process of PTFE raw material tape

The process of producing PTFE raw tape is complex and requires strict standards to ensure the quality and performance of the final product. The following are the main steps for manufacturing PTFE raw material tape:

1. Resin preparation and processing
The production of PTFE raw tape began with the processing of PTFE resin. PTFE resin is usually generated through polymerization reaction, and after certain heating and mixing, it forms a uniform material substrate. Manufacturers use high-temperature and high-pressure equipment to melt and process resins, ensuring their quality and stability.

2. Extrusion and stretching
PTFE resin is molded into a thin film through an extruder, and then the molecular chain arrangement of the material is made more uniform through a stretching process. The stretched PTFE film has greater toughness, strength, and pressure resistance. This step is crucial as it determines the physical performance and application adaptability of the final product.

3. Coating and post-treatment
In some special applications, PTFE raw tape requires additional coating treatment, such as coating with adhesives or lubricants, to improve adhesion or prevent sticking. This process is particularly important for applications with high temperatures or strict chemical requirements.

4. Cutting and packaging
Finally, the manufacturer will cut the PTFE tape into different sizes and lengths according to customer requirements and package them. Each roll of product undergoes strict quality testing to ensure it meets the specifications.
